Single Irish Lotto Ticket Wins 2.8 Million Jackpot
An excellent start to the month for Irish lottery players continued last night as one lucky ticket matched all six main Lotto numbers. The wait is now on for the winner to come forward and claim their €2.8 million.

The winning Irish Lotto numbers on Wednesday 13th June were 5, 21, 25, 29, 41 and 43, with Bonus Ball 31. Over 25,000 participants picked up prizes, plus thousands more in the associated Lotto Plus 1, Lotto Plus 2 and Lotto Plus Raffle. Irish Lotto Jackpot Winner
The jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Co Cavan, and the player now has 90 days to make contact with National Lottery officials to begin the claims process. They can then decide whether to stay anonymous or go public and let everyone know their name.
The top prize has now been won twice in the space of four draws, after a syndicate from Caherdavin in Co Limerick scooped €4.3 million on Saturday 2nd June.
Lucky Syndicates
As well as the winning syndicate from Co Limerick, another lucky group got their hands on €17 million on Tuesday 5th June after bagging the EuroMillions jackpot. The winners all worked together at Stakelums Home and Hardware in Co Tipperary and quickly got in touch with the National Lottery.
They had considered trying to stay private, but with 32 members in the group they knew that would be difficult and they were advised to opt for publicity. Each player will receive over €500,000 and Stakelums General Manager Joe Connolly said it would help to ‘clear a lot of mortgages’.
Six of the 13 EuroMillions jackpot winners from Ireland have been syndicates, plus a high proportion of Lotto winners, including the recent group from Co Limerick. Joining forces with other players is a popular option because you can own a share of multiple entries without spending more money.
