Irish Lotto News for September 26th, 2011

At €11,033,593, the most recent Irish Lotto jackpot was one of the biggest that we’ve seen in quite some time. Considering the amount of people chasing after this huge lottery prize, it’s not surprising that somebody finally managed to win the jackpot. Here is a look at this story, along with the Irish Lottery results from last week:

On Wednesday September 21st, 2011, the winning Irish Lotto numbers were 1-9-16-22-23-44, and the Bonus Ball was 41.  One noticeable aspect from this draw are the two numbers of 16 and 41, as they have been picked in two straight drawings.

The Lotto Plus 1 winning numbers were 5-9-12-27-30-43, and the Bonus Ball was 42. After this drawing, the number 42 had been selected three times this September. The Lotto Plus 2 winning digits were 3-7-17-29-40-45, and the Bonus Ball was 25 - whilst the number 3 has been picked three times out of the last four drawings.

Moving on to Saturday September 24th, 2011, the winning Irish Lottery numbers were 2-7-19-23-33-43, while the Bonus Ball was 28. This was the drawing where somebody won the aforementioned €11 million jackpot; but unfortunately, details of the jackpot winner remain anonymous.

The Lotto Plus 1 winning numbers were 2-5-16-18-28-45, while the Bonus Ball was 43. Both 5 and 43 are important numbers to watch here since they’ve been selected two weeks in a row. The winning Lotto Plus 2 digits were 4-7-26-28-35-43, and the Bonus Ball was 19. The number 7 is important as it has been picked in the last two drawings, and four times throughout September’s Lotto Plus 2 drawings.

The next Irish Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 drawings will take place on September 28th, 2011. Since the Irish Lotto was won last week, the new jackpot will be worth €2 million. The Lotto Plus 1 jackpot will be worth €350,000, and the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot will offer a €250,000 prize.
