Among the 51,814 players who picked up Irish Lotto prizes on Saturday 13th February, there was one lucky ticket holder who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win €125,088. The jackpot proved to be just out of reach, however, and will now rise to €5 million for the next draw on Wednesday.
The numbers drawn were 2, 12, 21, 22, 30 and 37 with Bonus Ball 10. The other prizes won were spread between a €3 scratchcard for matching two main numbers plus the Bonus Ball and €1,792 for matching five main numbers. A syndicate of friends came forward last week to claim half of the €132.3 million EuroMillions jackpot which they won on Friday 29th January admitting they were ‘dumbstruck’ as they picked up their windfall.
The shop owner from Carlow who sold the winning ticket says it has been a wonderful few days for the local community, telling the Irish Independent: “Something like this spreads very quickly. Customers are coming in and congratulating us. It’s great.”
