Irish Lotto Results for Saturday 23rd January 2016
Saturday’s Irish Lotto draw saw one lucky player from Co Mayo strike lucky and scoop the €13.7 million jackpot to become the first top prize winner of 2016. It was also a prosperous evening for over 92,000 other fans who all won a prize.
The winning numbers for the main draw were 10, 12, 13, 19, 43 and 45, with 5 making an appearance as the Bonus Ball. The winning ticket, purchased in the west of Ireland, sees its owner collect the largest Irish Lotto jackpot since March 2011 and become the first winner of the top prize since November of last year, no doubt making it a weekend that will live long in the memory of the victor.
There was additional joy for one other Irish Lotto fan as they managed to snap up €145,229 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball, while 52 players each pocketed the tidy sum of €1,675 for matching five balls. A further 51,968 participants collected prizes ranging from €10 to €147 by matching anything from three main numbers up to four numbers plus the Bonus Ball. Finally, an additional 40,205 participants will be hoping luck is on their side after collecting a €3 scratch card for matching 2 numbers and the Bonus Ball.

Following incidents of hacking that overshadowed last Wednesday’s draw which saw the website and ticket terminals go down, lottery officials were hopeful that Saturday’s draw would go off without a hitch - and much to their relief, everything went to plan.
As the jackpot was claimed this weekend, Wednesday’s top prize will be €2 million.
