Wednesday evening’s Irish Lotto draw saw one lucky ticket holder scoop an amazing €153,240 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. Although no one was able to win the €2.9 million jackpot on offer, that didn’t stop more than 24,000 lottery fans from claiming prizes.

The winning Irish Lotto numbers were 1, 15, 31, 42, 44 and 47, with 7 emerging as the Bonus Ball. In addition to the largest prize winner on the night, 10 players will no doubt have a spring in their step this morning after securing €2,697 apiece by matching five main numbers. A further 13,332 ticket holders successfully claimed prizes ranging from €12 for matching three main numbers to €183 for matching four main numbers and the Bonus Ball, while 11,459 players will be hoping that fortune smiles favourably on them once more as they each collect a €3 scratch card for matching two main numbers and the Bonus Ball.

Although there were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2 jackpots, the former did prove to be a successful draw for one fortuitous fan as they banked a very handsome €5,000 by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. The Lotto Plus Raffle also provided 71 players with a reason or two to celebrate, with each player scooping €300 by matching the all-important code 0496. Irish Lotto players will now turn their collective attention to Saturday’s draw when the jackpot on offer is estimated to be worth an incredible €3.5 million. Ticket holders will be hoping and praying that they can become the sixth winner of the top prize this year and follow up the success that saw one lucky player claim an amazing €5.5 million on Saturday 21st May.

To be in with a chance of winning Saturday’s sensational prize, tickets can be purchased online or from any authorised retailer throughout the Republic. Best of luck and keep those fingers crossed!
