There were over 24,000 players who picked up Irish Lotto prizes on Wednesday 22nd July, including one lucky ticket holder who scooped €25,000 after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball. Nobody was quite able to land the jackpot, driving the top prize up to an estimated €5.5 million for the next draw.
The winning numbers on the night were 6, 7, 24, 37, 38 and 40 with Bonus Ball 1. As well as the winner in the Match 5 + Bonus tier, there were another 22 players who matched five main numbers to earn €2,243 each. The remaining prize winners pocketed cash rewards starting from €5 for matching three main numbers and going up to €177 for matching four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
There were also three ticket holders in the Lotto Plus 1 game who matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to snap up €3,500 each. There have now been seven rollovers since the Irish Lotto jackpot was last won on Saturday 27th July, by a woman who bought her ticket in Adare, Co Limerick and ended up winning €2 million. She had only stopped at the shop for an ice cream, so it shows that good fortune can strike at any time, and it could be that the jackpot gets grabbed again this Saturday.
