Irish Ticket Holders Target EuroMillions Jackpot of €139 Million

Irish Ticket Holders Target EuroMillions Jackpot of €139 Million

Irish eyes will be firmly fixed on this Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw as players from the Emerald Isle aim to land a €139 million jackpot. The monstrous sum is the result of Friday’s Superdraw event failing to produce a winner and rolling over, a situation that could see ticket holders in Ireland cash in this midweek.

The winning numbers from Friday’s draw were 13, 18, 37, 44 and 49, with 9 and 12 being randomly selected as the Lucky Stars. The draw proved to be a real treat for EuroMillions stats fans, with three of the top ten most commonly drawn numbers (44, 37 and 49) appearing.

This trend continued as the Lucky Stars were drawn, with 9, the second most common bonus number, appearing for the 217th time. However, there was some contrast as the number 12 was drawn, a Lucky Star that has now appeared on just 12 occasions since its introduction to the game in September 2016.

The draw itself may not have resulted in jackpot joy, but there was plenty of success for players in Ireland. Five participants from elsewhere in Europe each landed a Match 5+1 reward of €354,592, while the biggest Irish winner on the night was one of 19 ticket holders to win €26,081 in the Match 5 prize tier. However, the biggest prize win on the night came in the EuroMillions Plus draw, as an entrant from north Dublin correctly matched all five numbers to scoop €500,000. Although the ticket holder has not yet been identified, it has been revealed that the lucky Quick Pick playslip was purchased from a Spar shop on Tonlegee Road in Coolock. “We just can’t believe it!” Mary Glennon, the store’s proprietor, told reporters, before adding: “There is a great buzz in the area.”

If you would like to celebrate a EuroMillions win of your own, this Tuesday’s jackpot is one that is certainly worth winning. To stand a chance adding €139 million to your back pocket, simply select your numbers online or pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer. Come Wednesday morning, you could be Ireland’s 12th EuroMillions jackpot winner.
