Lotto Plus 2 Produces Three Jackpot Winners in Two Draws
Irish Lotto players are hitting a rich run of form on the supplementary Lotto Plus 2 draw despite no one having scooped the jackpot in the main game since Wednesday 22nd June. There have been three Lotto Plus 2 top prize winners in the last two draws, each banking €250,000 for matching all six main numbers.
Last night’s game saw two winners correctly match the winning Lotto Plus 2 line of 1, 9, 10, 15, 23 and 30, with a further five ticket holders matching five of the main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball 2. Neither Irish Lotto or Lotto Plus 1 saw any winners in their top two tiers on Wednesday 10th August. Unlike Irish Lotto, the two Plus games offer fixed prizes that players do not have to share, meaning last night’s lucky jackpot winners will each receive the full €250,000. Last Saturday’s €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 prize has already been claimed, after a man from Cahir, Co Tipperary picked up a bumper cheque at National Lottery headquarters in Dublin yesterday. The winner promised to split the cash between members of his “close and loving” family. He also admitted he lost his nerve watching the draw on television and turned the set off after the first four balls were dispensed. He was later persuaded to visit a local lottery retailer to check his ticket and discovered he had matched all six numbers to hit the jackpot.
