Bailieborough Store Creates Second Irish Lotto Jackpot Winner

The search is on for the Irish Lotto player who pocketed a jackpot of €4.5 million on Christmas Eve, but the location where the lucky ticket was sold has been announced and it is not the first time that the store has created a big winner.

The Irish Lotto numbers drawn on Saturday night were 8, 10, 11, 16, 40 and 42 with Bonus Ball 38, and a single participant matched all six main numbers to scoop the top prize. Check out the Irish Lotto Results page to find a full breakdown of the prizes won.

The winner has yet to come forward to claim the cash, but the SuperValu shop in Bailieborough, Co Cavan, was soon revealed to have been the shop where the ticket was purchased, and store owner Lorraine Harris has implored anyone who played to find out if they won.

“What a way to End Christmas Eve,” she wrote on Facebook. “Everyone check your lotto tickets because we have just sold the winning ticket of tonight’s Lotto jackpot of 4.5million on a €5 quickpick. Massive congratulations to the winner.”

Lorraine’s shop had previously sold an Irish Lotto ticket worth €3 million in November 2012, and the latest winner will have 90 days from the date of the draw to come forward and claim their prize.

There will be another chance for Irish Lotto players in Bailieborough, and the rest of the country, to win great prizes in tonight’s draw. Tickets can also be sold online as well as from authorised retailers. Good luck!
