EuroDreams Bumper Prize Up For Grabs: €50k per Month for 30 Years
There's some exciting news for Irish lottery fans this week, and across Europe too: the grand annuity prize for EuroDreams is going to be raised by €30,000 per month for the next draw, taking place on Thursday, and it will remain at that level until it's next won. Here are the details…
A Quick Guide to EuroDreams and the Superdraw
EuroDreams is a multinational annuity-style lottery, played in Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland. Additionally, players in the micro-states of Andorra, Monaco, and Liechtenstein are able to participate thanks to arrangements with their neighbours' national lotteries. Instead of a rolling jackpot that offers players a one-time cash prize like EuroMillions, the EuroDreams top prize is – under normal circumstances - a fixed payment of €20,000 per month for the next 30 years.
In the special bumper draw taking place on Thursday, the top prize is being raised from €20,000 per month for 30 years (€7,200,000 in total) to €50,000 per month for 30 years (18,000,000 in total). That's a huge increase, with the top prize over double its regular value. And it will be staying at the €50k mark until it's next won, no matter how long that takes.
A quick point on terminology - while we're calling it a Superdraw, the various participating countries all have their own terms for the game. Swisslos, the Swiss national lottery that broke the news earlier in the week, for example, doesn’t call it anything; it's just a "higher main prize for a limited time" which isn't very catchy.
Past EuroDreams Superdraws
In the last EuroDreams Superdraw, the top prize was increased by 50% to €30,000 per month (€10,800,000 in total). The jackpot went up on October 2nd, 2025, and remained there for an astonishing six months before it was won on April 9th, by a single ticket purchased in Portugal.
Here at IrishLottery.com, we were worried that the promotion could have backfired by highlighting the length of time that EuroDreams can sometimes go without a jackpot winner. It seems that’s not the case, given that the member lotteries have decided to run another bumper jackpot promo. In any case, the top prize is usually won much more frequently. In fact, the last draw on 08/10 had two jackpot winners, one in France and the other in Switzerland, as well as a couple of runner-up winners in France and Spain.
EuroDreams in Ireland
The EuroDreams top prize has only ever been won in Ireland once, back in November 2025, when a Wicklow woman matched all seven numbers on her ticket. She decided to purchase the ticket on her phone during a rainy walk, thinking that a big win would "brighten up her day". It certainly did! In the same draw, another Irish player managed to land the runner-up prize of €2,000 per month for the next 30 years (€720,000 in total).
