Ireland Celebrates Record-Breaking €250M EuroMillions Win!
In a historic turn of events, Ireland has claimed the largest EuroMillions jackpot ever awarded, a staggering €250 million! The life-changing prize was snapped up in Cork on the 17th of June, marking the fourth rollover before the jackpot would have triggered a 'Must Be Won' draw. The winner has since been in touch with the Prize Claim team.
This is only the second time in EuroMillions history that the top prize has reached its €250 million cap. The first time was on March 28th of this year when the prize was claimed by a lucky player from Austria.
If you purchased a ticket for the Tuesday, 17th of June draw, be sure to check your numbers for 13, 22, 23, 44, and 49, with Lucky Stars 3 and 5. Millions of players walked away with prizes and 88,400 of them were in Ireland alone! In total, the draw made 3,959,140 winners across all participating countries. The excitement didn’t end there. Ireland also saw a EuroMillions Plus jackpot winner! Matching all five numbers, this fortunate player in Wexford will be taking home a grand total of €500,000.
