Millionaire Raffle Returns for 2025
The Millionaire Raffle is back for 2025, with tickets on sale ahead of the New Year’s Eve extravaganza. One player is guaranteed to win €1 million, while thousands of other prizes will also be paid out.
Easy to Play
It’s easy to play the Christmas Millionaire Raffle, as you don’t even have to pick any numbers! All you need to do is buy as many tickets as you want - at a cost of €25 each. Each ticket will have its own six-digit number.
There are only 600,000 tickets available, so make sure you take part nice and early. Once the tickets have gone, they’ve gone, so they usually sell out well before the traditional cut-off time of 10:00pm on 31st December.
When the draw takes place, a series of winning raffle numbers will be selected at random using the Irish Lottery’s automated draw system. In total, 8,500 prizes will be given away, ranging from €500 to €1,000,000.
Go to the Millionaire Raffle page for more information about how the game works, along with a full rundown of all the prizes up for grabs. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 70.59, but you can increase your chances by purchasing multiple tickets.
Millionaire Raffle tickets are also a perfect gift for Christmas or New Year - a stocking filler which could transform someone’s life in an instant, or at the very least give them the chance to dream.
Previous Winners
The winner of the top prize in last year’s raffle was a man from Co Meath who purchased his ticket from Tierney’s ‘Nearby’ store on Trimgate Street, Navan. He later revealed that he had bought his ticket on Christmas Eve after overhearing a chat about the raffle.
He kept the ticket on a bookcase in the living room until he was ready to come forward a couple of weeks later, and said he would use the money to upgrade his car and take care of his family.
Another memorable win came back in 2017, when professional footballer Kevin O’Connor - who played for Preston North End at the time - landed €1 million with a ticket that was bought for him by his uncle.
If you pick up a ticket this year, or you’re gifted one, remember to check the results quickly. The claim period is 90 days, just like all other lotteries in Ireland, and it has happened before that the top prize has gone unclaimed. A player from Cork missed out on their €1 million in 2016 after failing to come forward in time.
As well as the Millionaire Raffle, there will be a host of other exciting lotteries to enjoy over the festive period. Make sure to take part and you could just become a Christmas millionaire!
