Ireland Claims Third EuroMillions Win of 2017

Ireland claimed its third EuroMillions win of 2017 in the year’s final draw, on Friday 29th December. A lucky player, who bought their ticket in the Dublin area, is now €38.9 million better off after matching the main numbers 4, 8, 22, 23 and 48 plus Lucky Stars 1 and 12.

Winning EuroMillions Ticket

All that is known so far about the winner is that they opted for a Quick Pick when they played their lines in the capital ahead of the draw. They have 90 days to come forward, and the Irish National Lottery is likely to offer more information on the location of the store that sold the successful slip if no one makes contact soon.

It is unclear yet whether the line was played by an individual or a syndicate, but regardless of their identity, they follow a Dublin syndicate in January and a Co Mayo family in July to become the third Emerald Isle player in 2017 and 12th Irish ticket holder overall to strike gold in the pan-European game.

If you took part in Friday’s EuroMillions draw, you are urged to check your ticket right away and you can find out all of the prizes snapped up on the night at the Results page.

Irish Lottery Winners

There have been two other huge lottery wins for Irish players over the Christmas and New Year holidays, with an Irish Lotto win of €5.4 million scored on a ticket bought in the arrivals area of Dublin Airport for the draw on Saturday 23rd December. In addition, the annual Christmas Millionaire Raffle draw on New Year’s Eve saw a Wexford ticket holder claim the top prize of €1 million, having picked up their entry at Flanagan’s Centra in Castlebridge.

For your chance to win big this week, you can choose Irish Lotto and EuroMillions numbers at the Tickets page and, if you place a stake on EuroMillions at Jackpot.com, you can pick up another line for free. Use the banner above to redeem this offer during January.
